Safari Island
The Waconia Safari Island Community Center opened in the Spring of 2001. Safari Island is the result of a collaborative effort between the City of Waconia and ISD #110. The facility was constructed in conjunction with the Clearwater Middle School, adjacent to Waconia High School and Brook Peterson Park. The building boasts a massive aquatics area complete with a water slide, an 8 lane competitive pool, overhead running track, 4 basketball courts, children’s play land, fitness area, and meeting rooms.

Ice Arena
The Waconia Ice Arena is owned by the City of Waconia and operated by Rink Management Services Corporation. As the home ice for the Waconia Hockey Association and the Waconia Wildcats Boys and Girls hockey teams, competition from surrounding high schools and youth hockey associations travel to showcase their talent versus our hometown teams.
The facility also provides skate lessons, open skate hours and a variety of other programming. In addition, the Waconia Ice Arena has meeting rooms that can be reserved for your next business meeting, family event, team gatherings, or children's birthday parties.
A concession stand with a variety of food and beverage options is open from late October through mid-March during the hockey season and on weekends during open skate programs.
