Skateboards, Roller Skates, Etc.
The operation of skateboards, roller skates and similar devices in the City of Waconia is regulated to certain areas. These devices may be used on public streets, sidewalks, and trails during day light hours - except in the downtown area.
Skateboards, roller skates, or similar equipment may:
• Not be used on any streets, alleys, sidewalks or parking lots in the downtown district, which is defined as the area between Pine and Maple Streets and Main and Second Streets
• Not be used on private property without permission by the owner
• Not be operated in a careless, reckless manner so as to endanger the safety of any person
• Not be operated on a public street, sidewalk, alley, or parking lot after sunset or before sunrise
