City Administrator Announces Resignation
Waconia –The City of Waconia announces today that City Administrator Susan Arntz has resigned her position to accept the position of City Manager for the City of Mankato. The City Council is grateful for Ms. Arntz’s service to the City and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
Mayor Kent Bloudek, on behalf of the City Council, expressed gratitude for her service, stating, “Susan’s nearly 20 year career has helped position the City well by attracting and developing quality staff, improving our financial health, and continuing our strong support of so many of our priorities.”
Ms. Arntz’s last day will be November 20. The Assistant City Administrator, Jackie Schulze, will serve as the Acting City Administrator and City Clerk until a replacement is selected. The City Council will meet in the near future to discuss next steps for recruitment.
