Brook Peterson Park Restroom Improvements

The Waconia Park Board and City Council have been planning structure improvements to the Brook Peterson Park Restrooms throughout the past few years.  On March 2, 2020 the City Council awarded the improvement project to Ram Contracting of Winsted, Minnesota.

The improvements include expansion and ADA revisions to the male and female portions of the restrooms, as well as two additional family/transitional restrooms.  The former concession stand area is being converted to storage with some minor expansions.  The exterior will mimic the theme introduced by Lions Field with much needed trail links to the ball fields and landscaping improvements.  Outside of the contracted improvements, the City plans to add a 20 x 34 foot shelter with picnic tables near the restroom and current play system.

During the improvement process there will be trail closures adjacent the restroom and expansion area north of the current structure.  The City will provide alternative access to fields Five through Eight during the different improvement projects.

Below you will find links to detailed plan sheets showing the proposed site plans and restroom expansion improvements.  The work will begin in early April, continue through until early August.
