Senior ResourcesThe City of Waconia has many resources available to the seniors in our community. See below for a few highlights, and check out the Senior Resources page under "Our Community."
Senior ConnectionsThe City recently completed the Talking 'Bout My Generation Survey and follow-up focus groups where we heard great feedback from our residents. One piece of feedback that came from the survey and focus groups is that thee is not a "one stop shop" to find events that are happening in the community, specifically events related to the senior population. We have recently put together a senior newsletter and monthly calendar of events sot hat some of the events happening around town are highlighted.
View the Senior Connections Calendar here.
Soon, you will have the ability to subscribe to the calendar as well.

WeCABThe Waconia Commission on Aging and the City of Waconia are looking at bringing WeCAB into the community. WeCAB provides safe, affordable, and flexible supplemental transportation to those in Carver County's service areas who are unable to drive to medical appointments, grocery stores, food shelves, worship services, volunteer opportunities, and social events. Rides are available seven days a week and can be requested at least 24 hours in advance between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The City of Waconia will be hosting a kick-off meeting for WeCAB to ensure that we have community support, as well as to find volunteers for the program. The program is entirely volunteer based and in order to bring this to Waconia, we need a minimum number of volunteers.
Join the kick-off meeting on Thursday, January 4 at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall.
